An awesome recipe for those Chinese food cravers!
Ingredients
½ cup chopped cabbage
¼ cup chopped onion
½ cup chopped carrots
½ cup chopped mushrooms
2 Tbsp. chopped pistachios, peanuts, or cashews
1 Tbsp. minced ginger
1 Tbsp. tamari
1 to 2 Tbsp. toasted sesame oil
1 Tbsp. chopped fresh mint
1 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil
Sea salt and white pepper, to taste
3 dozen green (or any) dumpling wrappers
Instructions
- Toss together all of the ingredients, except the wrappers, in a big bowl and let sit for at least 15 minutes to marinate.
- Place 1 dumpling wrapper on a dry surface and place about 2 teaspoons of the filling in the middle. Wet the edges of the wrapper and fold in half, sticking the edges together. Repeat until all the ingredients are used.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the dumplings, stirring immediately, then add ½ cup cold water. Cook for about 2 to 3 minutes, or until the water is boiling again and the dumplings are floating on the surface. Remove and place on a dry surface to cool slightly.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauces.
