Hi! Tell us about yourself and your training

My name is Elad Michaeli and I’m 21 years old from Israel. I weigh around 153 lbs and I stand 5’10 tall. I am a personal trainer as well as an online trainer and I’m in a relationship for three years now. I’ve been to the university for three years, army and nowadays I work as personal trainer as well as an online trainer.

I’ve been into sports for the last nine years. It started with “Muay Thai” and slowly progressed into gym and calisthenics workouts. It all started with me being really overweight kid, I wasn’t one of these popular kids that has a ton of friends, I was lonely and when I discovered sports it just opened a new world for me, a world of peace.

Describe a typical day of training

When I workout I try to keep it interesting and intense, I don’t like all of these five minutes rest between sets (not saying it’s not effective) it’s just not my workout style.

I like to mix calisthenics as well as gym training together, low rest time and sometimes I do push myself for maximum weights so I’d to take two minutes of rest but only for big exercises such as bench press, deadlift, etc.

Personally, I think having a training partner is really important but my favorite workouts are when I got the whole gym to myself and I put my earphones on and my full focus is on the workout for 60 minutes.

How do you keep going and push harder?

As a pre workouts preparation I used to watch motivation workouts before the I went to the gym just to get that feeling but nowadays It’s enough for me to drink a coffee and head to the gym my motivation levels are really high because I’ve never been passion about the gym as I am today and I make sure I eat a proper meal before heading to the gym (at least an 1 hour before).

How are you doing today and what does the future look like?

Currently, I’m working really hard with my girlfriend (the one behind the camera) on my Instagram page as well as on my online business, so every second I’m up is dedicated to this goal, and my goal is to be well-known fitness influencer because my type of training it’s very unique unlike most of the Instagram influencer these days.

If I started all over again from young age I wouldn’t change anything, I did start off with the worst plans possible in the gym and I could hurt myself but if I didn’t start this way and went to a personal trainer I would have zero knowledge about fitness & nutrition.

How do you recover, rest and handle injuries?

The best way to recover and prevent injuries is first of all make sure your technique is on point, a bad technique can cause a lot of injuries and slow your progression massively.

And the next thing you need to pay attention to is to listen to your body, I have these days where I’m tired and If I went to the gym a dumbbell could fall on my head so I stay at home instead, resting. These days are quite unique but each person is different so make sure to listen to your body.

How is your diet and what supplements do you use?

My diet is calculated to the last gram of protein.

My diet is calculated to the last gram of protein. I make sure to calculate everything and to know exactly what comes into my body, even on my cheat days as much as it sounds horrible I try to count calories to know what to adjust the next day ^^.

I know a lot of people are saying this but I truly enjoy my diet plan, each meal is extremely satisfying and tasty. I drink at least three cups of black coffee a day (I’m a coffee addict) and as a supplement goes only fish oils, every now and then I use protein powder to make some kind of snack (protein cookies, pancakes, etc..)

I don’t really have a bulk/cut nowadays as I’m just balancing myself while trying to get stronger and stay in the same shape.

What has inspired and motivated you?

My inspiration is because I always aim to get better and better so I’m sure I’ll never be satisfied yet I will never lose motivation because I always have a goal I want to reach to, because lately due to COVID-19 a lot of clients are approaching me and I help them build their physique from home during this tough time It really motivates me to see their progress.

And of course, I have idols such as Jeff Seid, Fraser Wilson, Richard Duchon I really like these guys because they have a good vibe and ideal physiques.

Advice for other people who want to improve themselves?

The best advice possible to give to anyone beginner/expert is to stay consistent.

The best advice possible to give to anyone beginner/expert is to stay consistent. Consistency is the only way to progress and see great results. A lot of people going to the gym without workout plans or not following their diets and it’s just a waste of time.

I personally was in this situation but I’ve learnt and went to the university to study this but 99% of the people will not do it and will just quit because they’re not seeing the results they’re looking for.

Are you taking on clients right now?

Currently, I’m taking online clients and zoom clients, but the main thing is the workout and meal plans I build for my clients, each plan is calculated especially for them and unlike all the online training programs I personally build the plans accordingly to them. So it’s a huge bonus because it fits the best which means the best results are low time possible.

The most common question I have is – “can I gain muscle and loss bodyfat in the same time” the answer to that is yes but it happens only if you’re a beginner with good genetics. So I would always stick to one thing bulk/cut.
