Hi! Tell us about yourself and your training

Hello Friends, my name is Clemens Schattschneider, I’m 28 years young and I’m from Austria. I live in a really nice little City called Baden, which is about 20km from Vienna.

I’m a personal coach and just addicted to sports. I have a professional background as a snowboarder which brought me into this.

When I was 15 years old my career as a professional snowboarder started and since then I got addicted to sports. I mean I always loved being out and doing all different kinds of sports, but at this age it got serious for some years 😉

I would say I’m a person who is an allrounder, like I love so many different things that’s crazy 😉

But Bodybuilding was always a huge part, because I just like muscles, venes, and the pump when you hit iron ☺

Describe a typical day of training

I really like to run and swim and I workout every day I guess.

I always start right after I wake up on my mat moving my body through, stretching a bit, using my blackroll, get the blood flowing and then I eat a delisious breakfast and then its go time.

Either I work out or I go for some cardio which makes me unique in this scene I guess, because bodybuilders don’t go for cardio for fun 😉

My favourite exercise is the bench press. I really like to run and swim and I workout every day I guess.

When I do bodybuilding I prefer to do it by myself, because I can focus more on myself and I don’t like talking while working out.

If we do a CrossFit workout kind of then I prefer the group, because you can push yourself even harder.

Afterwards I prepare food and eat and work and chill 😉

I bring gymnastic rings, resistant bands, blackpoll, musik, handstand blocks, and water in my gym bag.

How do you keep going and push harder?

I always want to beat my yesterday ME, like I know it sucks sometimes, I know the motivation is not always on point, but YOU always have the choice and by that I mean you can always change your ANSWER!

My biggest challenge was returning after I broke my collarbone for the Olympic Games in 2014. I broke it two months before the games and that was probably the hardest thing for me to stay calm.

How are you doing today and what does the future look like?

My training is doing pretty good, I feel strong and I’m working on some handbalances for now and on gaining a little bit weight. Until the end of summer, my goal is a one arm handstand.

If I could turn back time, definitely I would train smarter, so I would save so much time haha but it was damn fun spending 4,5 hours working out.

How do you recover, rest and handle injuries?

It’s simple. Patience and I always tell myself that it’s a part of the game and it will be alright.

I just broke my collarbone once, we did it without any surgery which was probably not the best decision I guess, but I needed to be fit after two month.

I try to sleep at least eight hours at night.

How is your diet and what supplements do you use?

When I buy groceries, I’m vegan, but when I go somewhere to have a nice dinner or whatever I eat everything. I really like fish or a good BBQ in Summer, like I would never completely turn into a vegan I guess, but 90% vegan!

Because I feel way better with the vegan diet and have more energy for sure. The only thing I supplement is vitamin b12 and vitamin d3/k2.

This diet also allows me to stay shredded all year long. I really mind sugary stuff of course and eat 80% very clean and always cook by myself.

I do love coffee once or twice a day and I love tea as well. I don’t drink alcohol very often.

As for cravings, I would say I can handle it very well these days. I really thought about it before and then I am taking action, you know. 😉

What has inspired and motivated you?

Just move on and on and on and never stop.

I don’t know everybody who has huge muscles and skills 😉

Arnold Schwarzenegger of course, really inspired me – especially his mindset, some random guys where I’m from to be honest 😉

Best advice I got is don’t stress yourself & the endurance is key….like just move on and on and on and never stop.

Advice for other people who want to improve themselves?

Try always to be yourself, don’t try to be someone else, just do what you love and what you can to best and always remind yourself on being 1% stronger, better, smarter than yesterday.

Are you taking on clients right now?

Yes I do taking on clients & I also started to build my online coaching which is not finished yet, but we have the opportunity to work over the internet =)

If you want to look good & don’t have any crazy diets, I’m the man and you can hire me if you want.

I offer a tryout guarantee, which is eight weeks for free and then you will see the first results and you want to go on. Normally, I offer 6 month packages and 1 year journeys.

The most common question is like: “How can you do that?” Haha

Where can we learn more about you?

On my Instagram mostly – Clemens_schattschneider or on YouTube – coach clemi.
